Letter from the Hon W O Stanley
The Hon W O Stanley (1802-1884) was a son of Sir John Stanley of Penrhos near Holyhead, later Lord Stanley of Alderley. He was keenly interested in local matters, a great benefactor to Holyhead and at one time a Member of Parliament.
William Jones (1814-1902) was, in 1865, inn-keeper at the Stanley Arms, Holyhead. He was father of William Humphreys Jones, grandfather of Leslie William Jones, great-grandfather of Ellis William Parry Jones and great-great-grandfather of William, David, Charlotte and Matthew Jones.
