Frank Carmichael
Frank Carmichael was alive in 1895 according to Colonel Glyn F. Jones, O.B.E. He was General Manager of Guest Keen Nettlefold. He was 2nd cousin to William Humphreys Jones. Glyn Frank Jones (1894-1975), the latter’s second son, was named Frank after him. W.H. Jones was paid £100 to do so.
Frank or Francis Carmichael was the eldest son of Francis Carmichael, Bailiff at Gwrych Castle, Abergele, Denbs. In the 1841 Census his age was given as 12.
His name does not appear in the 1851 Census when the family was living at Gwindy Tavern, Market Street, Abergele. In the 1871 Census he was at the same address, unmarried aged 41, occupation sailor.
