Antique Oak Book-case
This antique oak book-case was made in Anglesey and was originally at Glybcoed, parish of Llanwenllwyfo, Anglesey, a farm mid-way between Dulas and Pensarn on the North side of the A5025 coastal road. Here is was owned by David Jones (1775-1860) and his wife Catherine (1784-1866).
It passed from father to son and came to Treifan, Brynsiencyn, Anglesey with William Jones (1813-1902). At Treifan it passed successively to William Humphreys Jones (1861-1940) and Alwynne Humphreys Jones.
In 1972 he gave it to his nephew Ellis William Parry Jones who brought it to 33 Liverpool Road, Chester. At Chester it was restored very beautifully by Mr. Durrant, cabinet-maker.
