Notes on Mrs Elinor Humphreys’ letter of 5 March 1877 to her aunt.

Mrs Elinor Humphreys, or Ellen, was the daughter of Francis and Elizabeth Carmichael and the wife of Robert Humphreys of the Cambrian Hotel, Abergele.

She had accompanied her uncle, Dr Thomas Humphreys of Bangor, Caerns, to London on Monday, 12 Feb. 1877 prior to Dr Humphreys’ operation from which he died.

Her mother, Mrs Elizabeth Carmichael, lived at Gwindy, Abergele.
