No. 4 Letter Balla Rat Gold Diggins           June 12th 1853

My Dear Father Mother Brothers & Sister

I have the pleasure once more to write you few lince hope they meet you once more in good health as I am thank God for his kindness my health is better now since I came here The whether is cold now and twice more rain than at home we had some few days of frost last week and the neight was awful cold the bed close were quite in the morning came through the tent but it is very healthy whether I have not got much look since I wrote to you before but I dont know what day will I get it some body is doing well every week every thing is get very high now the roads are getting bad this wet Whether I began this letter last Sunday and I went to Balla Rat that is three miles from here Morton and Seth Evans is in town (Melbourne) Seth wrote letter up to Balla Rat to Wm Jones Watterloo and he said in the letter that my Brother John is dead wich supprice me very much but that is all I hurd hope it is not true there is great many walsemen about here then son of Ty Canol (I went to him Sunday when Watterloo told son of Ysgubor fawr there is causon of Cornelius Rhos wen here please to tell him that Henry Jones his causon quite well and doing well I never saw any of Llanerchymed boys yet We paid this day 35/0 one Bushel of oats for the mare 4/0 1b butter 1/0 1b salt you shall see Mr Owens letter I am not going to write long letter to you I hope that I shall be ready to start home next Chrismas with near Thousand Pound or Perhaps more or Perhaps much less it is very uncertain here but every body will to make good wages if he will work

If I had 100 pairs of shoes from llanerchymed I would clear £150 profit I must pay tomorrow for one pair of boots 7£, £2:10 for pair of shoes and poor once too these boots are higher than my knee to work in wet place worth 25/0 here
